When Did USA Start Playing Cricket?
Cricket in the United States has a history that dates back to the 18th century, but it wasn't until the mid-20th century that the sport began to gain more significant traction. The USA Cricket Association was founded in 1962, officially marking the beginning of organized cricket in America. Since then, the sport has seen various phases of growth and decline, with a notable resurgence in recent years.
The game's roots in the US can be traced to British settlers who brought the sport with them in the late 1700s. However, it wasn't until the 1960s that cricket started to take shape as a more organized sport in the country. The formation of the USA Cricket Association (USACA) in 1962 was a significant milestone in establishing a national governing body for the sport.
